New Hampshire is under a "Stay At Home" order from March 28 through May 4, so all our lessons will continue on Zoom during this period. As soon as businesses are allowed to reopen, we'll resume our regular in-person schedule.
Now is the time when all of us need music more than ever. Cayt is offering online lessons over Zoom to all current Full Circle students – and to new students looking to fill their interrupted lives with the healing power of music. (If you've been playing violin or fiddle for at least a year, can read music for simple tunes in the first position, and are 18 or over, we welcome you as a new student. This is the perfect time to return to your love of the violin.)
We're keeping the important things our students have always loved about their lessons: • laughter and fun • expert instruction • and yes, even the chance to hear Pico the wonder dog sing along occasionally!
Zoom is easy to use. There's a quick one-time installation of free software (no need to set up an account!). Then Cayt sends you a link before your lesson; all you do is click on the link and there you are, face to face with Cayt to enjoy your lesson.
There are a few small limitations. Only one person can play at a time (no duets or group classes), and, depending on your computer, the tone quality could sound less full and resonant than in person. (What a great excuse for students who occasionally sound scratchy... "That wasn't me; it was Zoom.") Plus, you'll have to provide your own snacks instead of enjoying the studio's usual nibbles!
Email Cayt if you have any questions about online lessons.
